The 2024 season of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship is over and Diesel Technic congratulates Sascha Lenz on his outstanding 3rd place in the overall standings. The SL TruckSport 30 racing driver once again demonstrated his driving talent at seven race weekends across Europe in a total of 28 races and regularly finished on the winners’ podium. He relies on his self-built, purple MAN TGX race truck, spare parts from the DT Spare Parts brand and the service provided by the Parts Specialists from Diesel Technic.

The popular racing series, also known as Formula 1 for trucks, started in Misano/Italy in May, followed by races on the Slovakiaring/Slovakia and in Zolder/Belgium. The home race was the International Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in Germany in July. After the short summer break, it was off to Most/Czech Republic at the end of August before the racing series entered the home straight in Le Mans/France in September and crossed the finish line at the finale in Jarama/Spain on 5-6 October 2024. Thanks to numerous top placings, Sascha Lenz was permanently in the top 3 and was delighted to finish the season in 3rd place on the podium of the European Championship.
The Parts Specialists team from the Diesel Technic Group was also on site at several races. There were also some happy end customers who were able to visit the SL TruckSport 30 team in the pits and watch the mechanics at work. The visitors were amazed to see that a brake disc can be changed in two minutes. Sascha Lenz always took the time for a small talk and a souvenir photo with the guests in his pit. This fantastic experience is exclusively for members of the Parts Specialists Club. The spectacle of the racing series with the 160 km/h fast trucks is watched live by up to 100,000 visitors each race weekend – they are offered an extensive supporting programme with a truck parade, festival and fireworks until late into the night.
